Welcome to Wild Things Drama
At Wild Things Drama we understand that everyone learns differently. All our drama sessions are structured so that each individual is allowed to learn at their own pace and in their own way.
Our Imagination classes (for 3-7 year olds) focus on the pure enjoyment of drama - we offer an environment for children to let loose, to be noisy, to have crazy ideas and, most importantly, to gain confidence.
Our Character classes (for 8–11 year olds) are for those children that are ready for a little more investigation. We cover the many different ways to create a character, dissect a script and devise scenes for performances – as well as learning about techniques to develop their voice and physicality. Students take part in 2 shows per year and have the option of taking an annual LAMDA acting examination.
Older students can take part in our Young Actors classes (open to 12–18 year-olds) . These classes retain that sense of fun, whilst taking a more mature approach to developing performance skills. Students have the chance to take part in two annual productions and to progress through internationally recognised acting qualifications with LAMDA .
Wild Things also offers classes in Singing and Musical Theatre Dance - visit our classes page or contact us for more information.
"Thanks for all you're doing with Alfie ... it's made a huge difference to him and school even mentioned it in his SEN review! He loves his acting and I think he sees it as a very serious contender for a career option!"
"We have noticed at home that Tia is becoming more chatty and expressive which I am convinced is due to your classes. She's really enjoying the classes and it’s a great environment for her to be in. Thank you so much."
"I just wanted to say a big thank you for everything. The Summer School show was amazing and Ella had a brilliant time."
Stefan Capper (past student), drama student at East 15, London:
"Wild Things drama is a fantastic organisation that allows young people to develop their imagination and creative skills in a safe and secure space. It challenges you to push yourself and is a great way for people to make friends. A fantastic place to be if you want to expand your skills, gain more confidence and have fun learning and making drama."
Libby Jones (past student), currently studying Medicine at Keele University:
"All of my teenage years were spent at Wildthings, so I grew with the school! I was the oldest student for most of my time there; I just didn't want to leave! Staying right up until I left for uni, Wildthings gave me the confidence to feel good about myself in some difficult years. Everyone immediately becomes your family, and it's so easy to be yourself. Because everyone feels comfortable, Wildthings has a way of developing social and communication skills that school just can't offer. You're there for fun, to play about and to spend time with friends who share a love for the stage. We all grow together, helping each other through the stage fright, the line learning, and any problems life throws at us! I can honestly say, I would be a very different person without Wildthings. It has certainly changed me for the better."
Emma Robinson (past student), currently studying Medicine at East Anglia:
I joined Wild Things as a quite shy, very nervous 14 year old and now, almost 5 years later, I can honestly say it was one of the best things I ever did. It improved my confidence, performance skills and most importantly gave me a place to express myself and have fun! I gained so much from time there: Drama skills, life skills, qualifications and friends for life! Its more than a drama school, its like a second family, and one that I am so lucky I was able to be a part of.
My daughter loves loves loves this place. Her confidence is growing with every session and the opportunities that she has been involved in have been amazing. The staff are great and the other students have made her feel so welcome from day one. Joanne Faulkner

From the Lamda exams to the incredible work these young people produce, it reflects on the quality of teaching by all the staff at Wild Things. Nancy has created a place where children can grow in confidence whilst still being children. She encourages them all and inspires them to do great things.Sarah Mackay
Great school for kids, Staff go above and beyond for both parents and children. Happy place.Ruth Brookes
Wild Things really is a second family to me. I've been a student for about four years now and every moment has been so much fun. I've made some amazing friends and amazing memories, all thanks to Wild Things and the incredible work Nancy does to keep us all in line. From starring as Alice #1 in my first performance in Alice in Wonderland, to tonight in my last performance as Grandpa Joe in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, my confidence has really grown, and I have loved it all so much. If I could rate 6 stars, I would! Ellie Scales
I've been going to this place for over 2 years now and I'm in love with it. Nancy Monaghan (who runs it) is not only a brilliant teacher, she's like a second mum. I can't believe how much I've improved on my acting skills since I first started. Nancy makes wild things feel like a home and a family. It's a place where I, and many others can feel completely ourselves and express ourselves in our own unique way. I have made so many brilliant friends and I know they will be my friends for life. Thank you Nancy Monaghan, for making my Saturdays fun and enjoyable and produce and directing amazing shows that both the cast and audience enjoy! Chloe Whatmough
